GoingOn Announces Launch of New AlwaysOn Site

Pioneer in Online Media Brings Together Social Publishing and Social Media


San Francisco, CA. - Sept 15, 2009: GoingOn, Inc., a leading provider of new social learning solutions, announced today the re-launch of the AlwaysOn site to bring advanced levels of social publishing and social media to the AlwaysOn web experience. This launch leverages the platform and functionality upgrades of GO 2.0, introduced earlier this year.

Some specific features introduced for AlwaysOn include an entirely new high-fidelity, widget-based user interface that is designed to improve the user experience and increase usage metrics. A variety of new features have also been added including multi-channel design, advanced advertising engine, new AO TV video services, Ask-the-Expert module, Twitter integration, improved RSS publishing tools, and much more.

In addition to providing a much stronger user experience, the new site is designed to increase average page hits and time per page by allowing users to more easily find and drill into news and information that is most important to them. This, combined with more targeted advertising models, will help to increase overall site sponsorship and revenues. As always, AlwaysOn will continue to push the envelope in bringing user-contributed content and social networking to the world of online media.

The new AlwaysOn site has been deployed on the New GoingOn 2.1 platform and all existing user information and content was seamlessly migrated to the new release. As a result, AlwaysOn will be able to move to their new site with zero downtime and without disrupting the 24x7 availability that is inherent to being "always on".
