Building Communities

Building Communities

Adopting the social web is more than adding blogs to websites, creating Facebook pages or tweeting. It’s about creating a new, more intuitive online environment that extends legacy knowledge management, collaboration and online learning tools. It’s about building a social knowledge network where information and ideas flow freely across physical and geographical boundaries, a place where anyone can be a student and everyone is a teacher.

At GoingOn, we are leveraging the best of the social web to deliver a comprehensive community platform for easily configuring and deploying social web communities. We envision an institution-wide network of dozens, even hundreds, of connected communities, each built around specific courses, interests and interactions.

The GoingOn Community Platform, a new generation of social web infrastructure, can help you:

  • Increase student engagement and retention
  • Power new models of social learning
  • Leverage the social web to enable new forms of collaboration
  • Enhance student recruiting and alumni outreach
  • Expand brand identity & awareness
